Vendemmia Foundation 2008 Scholarship Program
The Vendemmia Foundation is dedicated to preserve Italian culture, to advance the understanding of Italian heritage, to foster pride in community, and to support the education and needs of Italians in the South Philadelphia area. These educational scholarships are made possible by the generosity of the people of South Philadelphia who support the annual Vendemmia Festival and by corporate sponsors who do business in our area.
Grade School Students Eligibility Students in South Philadelphia grade schools who are graduating in 2008 and are going on to a tuition paid high school. Awards A maximum of ten $2,000 awards payable over four years to students who maintain good academic standing. Selection The grade school principal will select the student to be awarded the scholarship based on academic excellence and participation in school activities. High School Students A maximum of ten scholarships $4,000 each payable over four years will be awarded to high school seniors who are advancing to accredited four-year colleges in 2008.
